We rebuild with contract-grade material rated for that duty, and we sew a whole floor to one pattern so the room stops looking like it was furnished in instalments.

Why offices recover instead of replace
A good task chair is mostly mechanism. The base, the gas lift and the tilt are engineered to outlast the fabric on top of them by years, which is why a floor of chairs can look finished while every chair underneath is still sound. Recovering keeps that mechanism working and puts a surface on it that matches the rest of the office — and it keeps a skip full of steel and plastic out of the yard. We will say plainly when a chair is not worth it: if the lift has gone or the frame is cracked, new fabric only hides the problem, and we would rather tell you than take the job.
The same applies to reception. Lobby sofas and waiting-area seating are usually solid frames with tired foam and a surface that has taken years of sunlight through the glass. Those rebuild well, and they are the first thing a visitor sits on.
